The Life Cycle of a Lead
A typical lead is generated as a result of a prospect searching for a home business. The prospect will fill out an online form to either receive more information or to possibly download a free ebook. These leads go into a database. There may be some further qualification of the lead after this point. They may be turned into a surveyed lead by redirecting them to another page that asks more extensive information. If they fill out a longer form then they have been surveyed. Some leads are emailed immediately after they fill out the initial form and if they respond to the second email then they are a double optin. There are also those prospects that are called and then they become a phone verified lead aged mlm leads
Regardless of the type of lead the next step is the same for all forms of MLM leads. There information is sold to people in a MLM business. The information in many cases is sold at least 3 times. Preferably the information is sold to business owners in 3 different companies. This is not always true. There is one thing that can be guaranteed. Each of these prospects is contacted about joining multiple MLM opportunities. They may be contacted several times a week or even several times per day. Put yourself in the position of being someone looking for a business opportunity that is being repeatedly pitched about a home based business. Would you be irritated? Maybe even angered? If this is the case then this potential prospect will at some point either join or probably stop considering starting a home based business.
Once the phone calls stop the prospect will still be considering joining a MLM opportunity. After all they were just annoyed but the dream of starting to build a business is still alive. If you wait for all of the commotion to die down this prospect may be more ready than ever to join.
Many leads are purchased and never used
You must also consider that even though many leads are purchased there are a high amount of them that are never contacted. Think about it. How many people have great intentions to start exercising and they go out and purchase a treadmill or some other piece of exercise equipment and it comes out of the box to become another room decoration and then a place to hang jackets. At some point the equipment goes in the paper to sell as almost new or barely used. This is the same with lists of leads that were previously purchased.
Some leads are never sold
You must also consider that many leads are not even sold by the lead vendor. Larger lead vendors receive thousands of leads each week. They make their best effort to sell them but many go unsold and they roll over into the aged MLM lead database. Wow! Think about that. They have a list of never sold aged leads that still have people interested in a home based business.
Summary:
Aged leads still have a lot of life in them and they can be purchased for a fraction of the price. You will probably find that when all things are considered your cost of signing someone up into your opportunity will drop drastically when you start with an aged business opportunity lead.
